Launched in May 2008 through a private beta, Splush intends to make RSS feeds available to everyone, whether they are advanced users or not. Most of Internet users are not comfortable with RSS feeds when on the other side, webmasters and bloggers are using those tools every day. By adding feeds to their Splush widget, bloggers and webmasters are offering selected feeds to a large audience.
Therefore, Splush answers to a publisher’s need by adding, in a simple and designed way, feeds to a website in order to generate a dynamic blogroll that can also play sounds and videos.
Splush also wants to change companies’ state of mind about feeds by moving from a passive mode (waiting for the user’s subscription) to a more active communication where content is promoted by content.
